Ian did his BS in Biology at JCU, and joined the lab in 2015 as an MS student. His thesis work combined spatial analysis in GIS and literature data to show that species-area relationships have steeper slopes in lanscapes where matrix quality is low than in landscapes with high matrix quality. He published his thesis work in Landscape Ecology, and is currently working as an environmental consultant.
