Osmary came to JCU in 2018 after receiving her BS at the Universidad de Puerto Rico and working on several field projects studing salamanders. She did her MS fieldwork in Colombia, finding evidence consistent with thermally-mediated population declines of a Bolitglossa salamander in the Eastern Cordillera of the Andes. Osmary is continuing her work on thermal biology as part of her PhD work with Sarah Diamond at Case Western Reserve University.
